The render gods are not pleased
So yesterday I spent about four hours setting up new interior lights and render settings for the house walk-through movie, which was fine. Yesterday afternoon I started to render a set of 1000 frames which would take about 48 hours to render. Ok, that is a long time to render 1000 frames but obviously it's because it's higher quality and it takes longer. Well, everything seemed to be going ok today. I have been constantly checking on my progress and made it over halfway by 3:00 p.m.

Since I can't really use my computer while I'm rendering, I decided to clean my room today. I put up the rest of my bookshelf, organized my books, dusted and vacuumed. As I was vacuuming with the nozzle to clean up the cobwebs the power died in the entire apartment. I freaking blew a fuse and lost all the rendering I had done, over 500 frames and 23 hours worth of rendering. It's all gone. And what's worse, apparently all the lighting changes didn't save (I usually save just before I start rendering) so now I'm having to redo everything. I don't know why this bad luck had to happen to me today out of all days. Why couldn't it happen some other time?! I'm severely frustrated at the moment, but there's not much I can do about it except accept the fact that I have to redo a lot of work. *sigh*

Everything is funnier when mascots are involved...
